I was fortunate to chance upon an advance release galley copy of this book (due
Feb 10). What immediately struck me was the brutal honesty. Dobyns tells his
story in an almost unflattering manner that one would not expect. I anticipated
a hollywood style true crime tale with explosions, motorcycle chases and
shootouts. What I found was a compelling first person, human interest account
of an undercover agent who is broken and nearly destroyed behind his desire to
infiltrate the Hells Angels. No Angel is a highly personal narrative told in an
intelligent manner. I highly recommend the book.
