Album DescriptionDestiny is a Japanese release including the most obvious Altered Images singles -- "Dead Popstars," "Happy Birthday," "I Could Be Happy," "Don't Talk to Me About Love" -- along with many other cuts that have popped up on the band's other compilations, with equal emphasis on each of the three studio albums. Two new songs, recorded in 2002, are scattered within the otherwise chronological track order; both are fine, if not worthy of being placed on a disc subtitled The Hits. The excellent expanded reissues of Happy Birthday, Pinky Blue, and Bite that appeared in early 2004 make the disc less of an attraction for the devout, but the numerous photos and liner notes from both Clare Grogan and John Peel (who justifiably gripes that "Beckoning Strings" should've been included) might make it worth their while.
