Nothing great in life can be achieved without a little bit of obsession, or in the case of legendary record collector Joe Bussard, a lot of it. This documentary provides a revealing portrait of the man who founded Fononote Records and who has tirelessly sought out and tracked down the rarest of the rare recordings from the 1920s. The soundtrack features the fruits of his labor and includes such artists as Charley Patton, Son House, and The Carter Family. Bussard proves that obsession pays off even if it requires a little, or a lot, of madness.
