On its 2007 outing, DELUGE SONGS, the Scottish indie-rock ensemble Terra Diablo offers up a vibrant set of classic shoegazer-influenced songs. Although the band's guitar sound sometimes nods to revered feedback-loving 1990s acts such as Ride and Swervedriver--the latter not surprising, since the group's manager is former Swervedriver drummer Jez Hindmarsh--Terra Diablo also reveals a penchant for a more straight-ahead alt-rock, recalling the Foo Fighters, in particular, on the barnstorming track "Disappearing Act."
