An unexpected yet amazing collaboration of four diverse jazz musicians, the musical melding of Jack Dejohnette, Dave Holland, Herbie Hancock, and Pat Metheny was a delight for jazz aficionados around the world. After playing festivals and concerts in the U.S., Canada, Japan, and Europe, the critically acclaimed quartet moved onto Philadelphia's renowned Mellon Jazz Festival. Filmed on June 23 and 24, 1990, this live video shows off the fruit of the collaboration. Carefully selected and edited to give the illusion of one seamless, perfect performance, this record is even better than the real thing. Ten tracks are performed, including "The Bat," "Solar," "Shadow Dance," and "The Good Life."
