Like Biggie at his best, Ross is able to maintain a mood of gangsta menace over the smoothest, radio-friendly beatscapes (courtesy of dirty south production heavyweights like the Runners, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, the Inkredibles, DJ Toomp, and Drumma Boy) while largely toning down the verbal violence in favor of lavish-life boasting.
