The murderer was his ex-girlfriend Shirley Turner -- also a doctor. Dr. Turner -- knowing charges would be filed against her -- fled the US to her famiy home in Newfoundland, Canada. While fending off extradition efforts by US law enforcement, Dr. Turner discovered she was pregnant with Andrew's son Zachary. Dr. Turner murdered 13 month old Zachary in September 2003 and then killed herself.

Ive not been able to find the paperbook. Ive seen the documentary. Very inspiring to see these parents, relentlessly pursue this woman and the terrible damage she did. The similarities to our own sons death and the aftermath was so close. At 3 am in the morning, I awoke, after nights of unrest since our sons death in August, and there they were. Sitting on a sofa, in such grief and pain, just as our family is experiencing. When the father related how he thought often of doing this woman in but knew he would be the first considered, we could so relate. Their suffering showed me how many others are out there going through similiar situations. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bagbys. Mary Lee Gregg, TN
