Hailing from Glasgow, Correcto consists of singer and songwriter Danny Saunders, guitarist Richard Wright, bassist Patrick Doyle (of Royal We), and drummer Paul Thompson (of Franz Ferdinand). Together they make hooky, supercharged rock that nods to classic Brit-pop … la the Kinks and catchy punk … la the Buzzcocks.

Correcto has plenty of the bouncy, push-pull post-punk sound that made Franz Ferdinand such a hit, but Saunders's tunes are more rooted in the melody-driven, verse-chorus-verse forms of classic pop. It's this quality, along with the fact that Correcto rocks hard, that makes the band's 2008 debut solid and satisfying throughout.
