5 out of 5 stars Good little Indy horror (its call it a spooky thriller) film. Great lead performance. , November 26, 2008

Saw this movie the other day after I realized it starred Andrew Bowen and I just watched his movie "Along The Way" the other day and his performance in it just blew me away. This is a totally different film altogether but Bowen again delivers another excellent performance. Glad to see this guy is making movies, he is very watchable. “Conjurer” is a nice throwback to the old fashioned "Ghost Story" but instead of the gore you see all the time in “Horror” today, it relies on characters, unsettling ambient sounds and a sense of dread to keep things moving. Its pretty darn spooky and made me jump out of my seat twice. The sound design in Conjurer is excellent and I have to say the "Bird" battle scene was just great! For a low budget Indy horror flick (I’d call it a scary thriller myself) Conjurer is quite good and well acted particularly but Bowen who again creates another very real character you believe is going through some very scary things.
