COMEDIANS AND ANGELS is Tom Paxton's first studio album in nearly six years and also his first since turning 70. It's a reflective but not somber collection, eschewing his political side for a warm and loving collection of personal songs. Highlights include "The First Song Is For You" and "Jennifer and Kate," dedicated to Paxton's wife and daughters respectively, as well as the lovely, homey "Dance in the Kitchen" and "You Are Love."
