Title Note

If classic rock radio were to convert solely to holiday music, Koch's Classic Rockin' Christmas would be its multi-platinum spawn. With a cover that boasts Santa Claus decked out in Ray-Bans, gloved hand wrapped around a guitar headstock and brandishing a furry come-hither, creepy old-man grin, it's a wonder that the disc doesn't include a set of ZZ Top keys and a pair of panties. Although this collection will have you spending Christmas with the likes of Billy Squier, Pat Benatar, and George Thorogood (and his partner "Jimmy Beam"), hearing the Ventures play "Sleigh Ride" is always a rush, and the Kinks' "Father Christmas" is an undisputed classic. ~ James Christopher Monger
