Cirque du Soleil have come a long way since they were formed in 1984 by a group of talented street performers in Quebec who set out to redefine popular notions of the circus. They have since stunned, mesmerized, and enchanted audiences around the world, and developed an exclusive show, entitled LA NOUBA, for their theater in Disneyworld. Derived from the French expression "faire la nouba," which means "to live it up," the show lives up to the Cirque du Soleil tradition of unforgettably magical performances, incorporating spectacular acrobatics, extravagant costumes, and beautiful choreography into one delightful, spectacular extravaganza. The show melds drama and traditional circus with a large dose of quirky, bizarre creativity, and showcases feats on the highwire, trapeze, and circus floor that truly must be seen to be believed.
