Even more impressive than the remixes themselves is the eclectic and surprising source choices made by the various artists on this compilation. Remix masters King Britt, Stephen Coates (the Real Tuesday Weld), Gaudi, and others from the Six Degrees stable try their hand at reconfiguring non-obvious cinematic musical treasures like the jazz-funk theme from THE TAKING OF PELHAM 1-2-3, the deadly serious strains of "Love Theme from BEN HUR," and even the scary stabbiness of the score from CARRIE. The results are amusing and at times even brilliant.
