A collection of previously unreleased studio tracks and live performances, the CD/DVD set CHRISTMASS presents Pixies frontman Frank Black in a primarily acoustic mode. While spare renditions of alt-rock classics such as "Wave of Mutilation," "Where Is My Mind?" and "Cactus" are sure to get the attention of Pixies fans, the real draw of the compilation is a batch of new tunes that includes the excellent "Do What You Want Gyaneshwar," which showcases the always intense Black's vigorous strumming style, and the gentle, wistful "Don't Get Me Wrong" (not to be confused with the Pretenders' song of the same name).
