Living Blues (9-10/94, p.91) - "...Floyd's sound is distinctive--more spare than most Southern soul of the period and more dependent on jerky funk rhythms. Nearly everything here is mid-tempo....his New Orleans roots are evident...prove[s] that there was much more to the man's talent than just Groove Me."
