Chickenfoot are a true supergroup, comprising of two ex-members of Van Halen, including singer Sammy Hagar; guitarist Joe Satriani and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. A high energy rock band, the sound of their debut album is reminiscent of Led Zeppelin at their heaviest, and vocalist Hagar claims that Chickenfoot could even rival Zeppelin. Comparisons have also been drawn between Chickenfoot and the old band of half of their members, Van Halen.
