The Willowz: Richie James Follin (vocals, guitar); Jessica Reynoza (vocals, bass guitar); Aric Bohn (guitar); Loren "Ted" Shane Humphrey (drums).

Cutting-edge yet commercial, the Anaheim rockers' artsy, snarling garage rock is interesting and cinematic enough to have been included in Michel Gondry's films. They reference Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix, and have a peculiarly left-coast, arty approach that recalls a variety of storied bands, including Spirit and Love. Though most of songs here are stone rockers, the slowly building punky country blues of "Jubilee" and the debauched-sounding ballad "Evil Son" evidence an artistic vision that extends beyond the confines of basic rock & roll.
