Tribal electronic gurus Steve Roach and Vidna Obmana are obviously haunted by the primordial demons of ages past. It seems the only way to exorcise those demons is by these rites, composed including whirling dervishes of percussion, synthesizers grounded in digital dirt, and the breaking down of barriers between earthly and electronic worlds.

Splendidly actualizing this concept is the 15-minute ritual music of "Hidden Earth and the Shadows Dance," as Roach holds sway with a battery of shakers and digidrums and Obmana embraces dark, solemn silicon dreams. The duo then plunges deep into the nether regions of "Middle World Passage," an epic adventure of strange, rattling noises, pulsating drums, and vast synth textures. Make no prehistoric bones about it--the soundscapes of CAVERN OF SIRENS are perfect to get lost in.
