This playful, paranormal romance is set in contemporary Vermont, and features Chloe Hobbs, the half-human daughter of a sorcerer. Chloe is the owner of a knitting shop located in the mysterious town of Sugar Maple. The town is known for its many unusual inhabitants, including fairies, trolls, vampires, and witches. When a tourist to Sugar Maple turns up dead, the authorities send in the handsome and fully human homicide investigator Luke MacKenzie. Chloe falls hard for Luke, but their different worlds and responsibilities threaten to keep them apart.
