The one-time doo-wop and rock-&-roll star Dion DiMucci has proved to be one of the most enduring of the genre's original pioneers, surviving numerous shifts in musical fashion over a career that has spanned six decades. This stripped-down Grammy-nominated production finds the singer going back to his pre-rock-&-roll roots, singing songs by Robert Johnson, Willie Dixon, and Hank Williams, among others, accompanied only by his own guitar and tasteful percussion.
