Roy Wood Artist Snapshot:

Best known as the leader of British psych-pop heroes the Move, Roy Wood is a true U.K. pop visionary, whose orchestral approach, multi-instrumental talents, and brilliant songcraft powered a variety of projects. After the Move split in the early '70s, he and Jeff Lynne formed Electric Light Orchestra, though Wood departed early on to start Wizzard. A couple of years later, he began his solo career in earnest, but by the end of the decade his once-prolific output became sporadic at best, though he continued making occasional live appearances.
