Product note

Book Of Love: Susan Ottaviano (vocals), Jade Lee (keyboards, percussion, background vocals), Lauren Roselli (keyboards, backgorund vocals), Ted Ottaviano (keyboards, piano, tubular bells, melodica, background vocals).
Recorded at Unique Recording and Sigma Sound Studios, New York.
Book Of Love released its eponymous debut album in 1986. Echoing the band's art school background, it's a perfect palette of colors and flavors mixed with accessible pop sensibilities. Anchored by pulsing keyboards, infectious hooks, and a deadpan delivery by lead singer Susan Ottaviano, the album became an underground smash.
"Boy" with its indelible bass line, lingering melody, teasing yet provocative lyrics, choruses of "uh-huh," and seductive lead vocal, shot the band onto the Billboard Top 10 Dance Chart. Also featured are the Number One dance single "I Touch Roses," the dreamy hit "Modigliani (Lost in Your Eyes)," and the ebullient "You Make Me Feel So Good." BOOK OF LOVE, driven by Ted Ottaviano's ethereal production, added to the soundtrack of the late '80s, creating an aesthetic and a sound that struck a sympathetic chord with its audience.
