Young Danish backpacker Mike Hammershoi turns up at Black's farm, an isolated homestead owned by Francis Black who is blind. Francis tells Mike that he can work in the yard and Mike, initially put off by the dark atmosphere that surrounds the place, is about to decline when he meets Rachel the charming wife of Francis and decides to stay.
