This psychedelic and disturbing black-and-white graphic novel collects a series of 12 comic books. Set in mid-æ70s Seattle, it captures both the bizarre mysteries of puberty and the stigma of AIDS. A group of teenagers are literally and figuratively changed forever when several of them get "the bug," a mysterious sexually transmitted disease that causes various kinds of repulsive-looking mutations.
