Guitarist, singer, and songwriter Susan Tedeschi has been a fixture on the modern blues scene since the early 1990s. Brashly confident as both a belter and an axe-slinger, Tedeschi's approach to the form includes elements of gospel, pop, and R&B alongside her deep reverence for classic blues.
THE BEST OF SUSAN TEDESCHI: EPISODE 2 is the companion album to 2005's EPISODE 1. A generous portion of originals are featured, including the emotionally charged tunes "Wrapped in the Arms of Another" and "Found Someone New," as well as admirable takes on John Prine's "Angel from Montgomery" and the Ruth Brown hit "Mama, He Treats Your Daughter Mean." It's the live tracks that round out this fine set, however, and show Tedeschi's true colors as a vibrant, no-nonsense, crowd-pleasing performer.
