Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, the Pirates of the Mississippi specialized in easy-going, rock-tinged country, and had their brief heyday in the early 1990s. This 2006 compilation draws entirely from that era, presenting the Pirates' finest moments from '90 to '94, including their rollicking cover of Hank Williams's "Honky Tonk Blues" and the appropriately twangy "Speak of the Devil."
