BASEMENT ECHO is a collaborative improvisation by Kawabata Makoto, leader of the long-running Japanese psychedelic monsters Acid Mothers Temple, and Michishita Shinsuke, leader of the no less fearless LSD March. Recorded in a single session with no editing or overdubbing, this is a two-guitar improvisation that moves comfortably from gently pealing overtones to amp-shredding, over-driven noise and back over the course of a single extended track. This is a sterling first collaboration from two major figureheads of the Japanese psychedelic underground.
