Inspector Jian has done what it took to stay on top as the regimes changed, as Mao came and went, but now he faces the monstrous challenge of tracking down his own daughter who is missing in England. Jian travels west and is confronted with all kinds of cultural and linguistic blockades as he tirelessly pursues his mission.
