Title Note

Art of Duo was issued only in Japan. It is simply a two-fer of Stan Getz's early bossa recordings; the first with Joao Gilberto entitled simply, Getz/Gilberto. The second disc in the package is Jazz Samba with Charlie Byrd. Together they create an inarguable historical document, and they feature fantastically remastered sound. The problem is, that fans of any of these men already have the American remasters which sound quite lovely on their own, making this utterly unnecessary except for the most fanatical -- and wealthy -- of jazz nuts. ~ Thom Jurek
