Title Note

For 2005's ARMED LOVE, Sweden's International Noise Conspiracy pulled off quite a coup. Not only did the noisy, politically-oriented garage band sign to Rick Rubin's American label and get the bearded guru to produce the album, but they also enlisted revered keyboardists Billy Preston and Benmont Tench to fill out the record's sound. While the presence of Preston and Tench is prominent, these high-profile guests never overshadow the amped-up proceedings, which are driven by sharp guitar lines, propulsive rhythms, and rousing choruses. The result is an assured and accessible outing that aims to both rally the world's youth and ensure that they dance with wild abandon.

Album Description

The follow up to 2001's 'A New Morning, Changing Weather' sees Sweden's socio-political blues/punk rock 'n' rollers take their sound up a notch in terms of musical ability and production. Assisted by production svengali Rick Rubin (Slayer, Beastie Boys, RHCP), on this release the band combine high-pitched vocals and group harmonies with their usual strong, political stance. Organist Sara Almgren does not feature on the album.
