This San Francisco band flourished briefly between 1981 and 1982, hitching themselves to the Gang Of Four's wagon and playing the kind of dub-savvy punk rock that, though commonplace in the U.K., was an anomaly in their hometown. The bass sounds cavernous and the guitar scratches away in agitated fashion, while the drums keep up an insistent mutant disco rhythm.
