Furious, churning riffs, pummeling drums, and screamo vocals are all part of the recipe here, but Norma Jean aren't just thrashers. They also have a penchant for melody, as tunes like "Self Employed Chemist" prove. With members of the Deftones, Helmet, Saosin, and others on board to help out, Norma Jean turn in one of their most well-balanced efforts with THE ANTI MOTHER, adding melodic touches here and there to their ferocious metalcore.
