ANASTASIA's soundtrack captures all the majesty and drama of the animated tale of love and intrigue. Liz Callaway's bright, pretty voice is well-suited to the role of Anastasia, the legendary last survivor of the Romanovs, while Kelsey Grammer is lovable as Vladimir, the fallen aristocrat who befriends her. Jim Cummings is the sinister villain Rasputin, and Bernadette Peters rounds out the film's sterling cast as the regal Sophie.
In addition to orchestral music, the ANASTASIA soundtrack contains contributions by some of today's biggest pop artists--Richard Marx and Donna Lewis duet on "At The Beginning, " R&B songstress injects a more modern flair with the warm, feel-good theme "Journey To The Past," and country belter Deanna Carter delivers a huskier, more acoustic version of "Once Upon A December," which is sung earlier in the film by Anastasia in a more orchestral form.
