This historical journey through Naval history starts when the U.S. Frigate "Chesapeake" was attacked and boarded by royal sailors of the H.M.S. Leopard. This act of aggression led president Thomas Jefferson to declare war on June 18, 1812. This video highlights all of the crucial naval battles that our young Navy fought against the then superior British Navy.
