Amaia Montero's self-titled debut solo album represents the singer's departure from her former band, La Oreja De Van Gogh. The album declares her independence as a soloist both lyrically and musically, showing the softer, more optimistic side of Montero. Her trademark vibrato glides over a soft-rock sound in tracks like popular hit "Quiero Ser," "Ni Puedo, Ni Quiero," and "Por Toda Una Vida."
