Review

Kerrang (Magazine) (p.49) - "The songs are great and the connecting them, a spider-obsessed serial killer that fall in love with a victim, is the perfect sick menace we expect. Welcome back to your nightmare."
Record Collector (magazine) (p.89) - 4 stars out of 5 -- "[A]n album which will please long-time fans, while showing never generations a true original still on form."

Title Note

Personnel: Alice Cooper (vocals, background vocals); Danny Saber (guitar, keyboard, bass guitar); Eric Singer (drums); Greg Hampton, Bernard Fowler (background vocals).

Recording information: Undercity Recording; Hampton Hacienda; Wonderland Studios (2008).

Shock rock patriarch Alice Cooper steps up to his musical cauldron, tossing in key elements from the '70s, '80s, and '90s, with the chilling concept album ALONG CAME A SPIDER. For this landmark 25th studio release (and first for SPV Records), Alice spins the tale of an arachnid-obsessed serial killer. In archetypical fashion, Cooper's dry delivery and macabre lyrics give the listener a bird's-eye view inside the mind of a murdering madman. Notable guest spots include Ozzy Osbourne ("Wake The Dead") and Slash ("Vengeance Is Mine").
