Originally filmed to train illiterate midwives, ALL MY BABIES now sheds a fascinating light on conditions among rural African-American families in the 1950s. Selected for permanent preservation by the Library of Congress, the documentary tells the story of "Miss Mary" Coley, a Georgia midwife who has delivered thousands of babies over the years. Also included here is PALMOUR STREET, by the same director, which examines family relationships.
