Title Note

All American Country is a compilation of Clint Black songs spanning from 1989 to 2001, covering his stint with RCA Records. Although some major hits are absent, others are here, including "Nothin' But the Taillights" and "A Better Man" -- both great songs. ~ Jason Birchmeier

All American Country is a seemingly random compilation of Clint Black songs spanning from 1989 to 2001, covering his stint with RCA Records. There are some hits here (for instance, "Nothin' But the Taillights" and "A Better Man" -- both great songs), but there are just too many major hits inexcusably absent (no "Killin' Time"?!) to make All American Country anything but ill-conceived product deserving of discount-bin status at some far-off truck stop. If it's a quality Clint Black compilation you're looking for, try the excellent Greatest Hits (1996), which rounds up over a dozen key hits from his peak years, or 16 Biggest Hits (2006), which is an inexpensive collection of hits that evenly surveys the same time span as All American Country. ~ Jason Birchmeier
