Originally released in 1993, less than three year's before frontman Jeffrey Lee Pierce's drug-related death, AHMED'S WILD DREAM is a live album of songs spanning the entirety of the Gun Club's career. Perhaps the first band to synthesize blues with post-punk, the Gun Club are the spiritual fathers of the White Stripes, the Black Keys, and many other indie rockers of the new century, and their sole live album is an essential document of their primal power. This 2008 reissue adds two demo recordings, "Humanesque" and "Pastoral Hide and Seek."
