Southern California reggae revival band the Aggrolites aren't just the usual punk-ska wannabes--instead, they play something very close to the real thing, with both an authentic sound and great rhythms. Influenced by Jamaican keyboard great Jackie Mittoo, the Upsetters, and Toots & the Maytals, the band roars its way through a lengthy set that recalls the music's mid-1960s glory days on cuts like the JBs-influenced "Funky Fire" and the Toots-like "Countryman Fiddle."
