While releasing a tribute to a band that has only released one album during its career might seem excessive, in the case of Disturbed, it almost makes sense; their debut -- and to this date, only -- release Sickness was a raw but melodic high point in alt-metal history. Big Eye's A Tribute to Disturbed features covers of the group's most distinctive, definitive tracks, including "Down With the Sickness," "Violence Fetish," "Stupify," and "God of the Mind." Unfortunately, though the actual songs are well-written, these renditions don't do them any favors; the versions of "Droppin' Plates," "Game," and "Voices" here just aren't as compelling as the originals. Ultimately, A Tribute to Disturbed serves neither the band nor the musicians paying homage to them. ~ Heather Phares
