The son of British folk-rock luminaries Richard and Linda Thompson, singer/multi-instrumentalist Teddy Thompson began pursuing music at a young age, performing with his father on a number of late-1990s outings. Thompson's self-tilted 2000 debut established the charismatic artist as a pop/rock songwriter of considerable talent, and also featured contributions from Rufus Wainwright, a kindred spirit who would appear with Thompson in many other settings. With his clear, resonant tenor voice, Thompson has proven himself capable of excelling at a wide range of material, even taking on country with his elegant cover album, UPFRONT AND DOWN LOW.
