Q (Magazine) (p.132) - 3 stars out of 5 -- "The '60s psych is still evident on tracks such as 'Gold, Tan, Peach And Gray' and 'Darling, Be Here,' but it's now coupled to free-ranging gospel ensemble pop that recalls The Flaming Lips and Arcade Fire."

Title Note

Released in 2008 by the well-respected Secretly Canadian label, Bodies of Water's second studio album, A CERTAIN FEELING, expands the Los Angeles-based act's 1960s-inspired sound. While many of FEELING's tunes are barbed with an Ennio Morricone-esque twang and drama ("Only You" and "If I Were a Bell"), the group also wanders into post-punk territory on the foreboding "Under the Pines" and features a choral element on "Water Here," proving that it's not an easy ensemble to peg.
