This odd little compilation of lighthearted Johnny Cash songs proves that the Man In Black didn't always confine himself to somber subjects. Suitable both for older kids and grown-ups who feel like a dose of oddball humor, it highlights the country legend's lighter side--the most well-known of the songs is his get-tough-or-die hit "A Boy Named Sue." "Everybody Loves a Nut" is pure Ray Stevens-type 1960s Nashville tomfoolery, while Cash and band sound like they're having a great time on his spoof tearjerker, "Flushed From the Bathroom of Your Heart." "Look At Them Beans" is the singer's country remake of Joe Tex's R&B homily, "Papa's Dream," while "One Piece At a Time," the story of a car built out of purloined parts, was another hit, topping the country charts in the mid-'70s.
