A BOTTLE OF PILLS WITH A BULLET CHASER contains the entire recorded history of the Winos, a Louisville, Kentucky, band from the 1990s who were inspired by their noise-rock forebears of the 1980s (Swans, Butthole Surfers, Sonic Youth, Steve Albini's various projects) and were themselves an influence on later bands in the style. The two-disc set contains all five of their singles, their 1998 self-titled album, and a handful of previously unreleased tracks.
