Title Note

Mika Miko's provocatively titled 666 is not an Iron Maiden cover album, and really has little to do with Satan, though it does have an appropriate version of The Misfits' threatening put-down, "Attitude," so it's a little bit evil. What it does sound like is a recently unearthed, slightly warped cassette demo of a teenaged punk group, high on noise and learning as they go along. The Girls in Mika Miko are committed to remaining raw, fast, and loose, and songs such as "Sleepover Slumber Party" and "Too Cute to Puke" joyfully walk the line between smart and dumb without tipping over into amateurism.
