Personnel include: Jim Croce (vocals, guitar); Ingrid Croce (vocals); Maury W. If the single disc Jim Croce collections PHOTOGRAPHS & MEMORIES and TIME IN A BOTTLE have you hungry for more of this tragic singer songwriter, then the 1992 double disc THE 50th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION will definitely satisfy your appetite. At a whopping forty nine tracks in length, THE 50th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION contains all the tracks from three key Croce releases from the early 70's - YOU DON'T MESS AROUND WITH JIM, I GOT A NAME, and LIFE AND TIMES - as well as previously unreleased songs, and selections from the '75 release THE FACES I'VE BEEN and from when he and his wife Ingrid performed as a duo in the late 60's (as well as a plethora of pictures and a bio written by Ingrid). Such folk rock classics as "You Don't Mess Around With Jim," "Photographs and Memories," "Time In A Bottle," "Operator (That's Not The Way It Feels)," "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" have only improved with age, while such lesser known selections as "New York's Not My Home" and the superb "Walkin' Back To Georgia" make THE 50th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION the best and most extensive Jim Croce collection ever.
