In the mid-1960s, Chicago music impresario Jim Golden's USA and Destination labels turned out a ton of psychedelic/garage-rock gems, with the latter label focusing exclusively on local talent. Indefatigable '60s archivists Sundazed have put together a 40-track anthology documenting the glory days of both labels. From the more hard-edged moments of pop-rockers the Buckinghams to the fuzz-guitar frenzy of more esoteric acts like the Shady Daze and Oscar Hamod & The Majestics, 2131 SOUTH MICHIGAN AVENUE captures a golden moment in garage-rock history, with Sundazed's usual attention to detail in the elaborate packaging.
