Title Note

Having come out in the early part of 2001, the title of this set is very apt. In the year that Kubrik set his metaphysical epic, people are still enjoying the pleasures of rock music -- some things just won't change! David Well's comical liner notes slyly mock a few of the more extravagant opuses, and in essence this is a slightly tongue-in-cheek job. However, if an introduction to spacy late '60s and early '70s underground Brit-rock is what you seek, this is a great way to learn about it. Two CDs housed in a lovely foldout cardboard digipak feature the likes of Uriah Heep, space masters Hawkwind, and the great and mainly ignored Stray, all who get cosmic and heavy.
