Green Days Debut album, 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours was a very impressive cd with plenty of tracks to rock out to. The album feature many more guitar solos than the other albums and a youthful outlook on love and life. This album is an 8 out of ten in my opinion. A lot of "Green Day fans" feel that the album is too raw, and the production isnt good, but the album is a must have if you like classic punk rock. The music is raw, and it does threaten the quality of a few songs, but overall the music is still clasic. Going to Pasalacqua, At the library, and 1000 hours are standout tracks. A must have if you are a real Green Day fan.
